Winnie the Pooh

A couple of weeks ago, I couldn't find Isaac's glasses. They are usually in his bedroom or the bathroom. Well, I found them...in his room....on Winnie the Pooh. He had put them there. It was very funny.

Just enough for a snowman

Well, we got a little bit of snow and before it melted, we decided to make a snowman...the smallest one ever.

Going to the park

Even the cold weather can't keep this crowd from the park.

Chinese New Year

Happy Chinese New Year everyone. We attended the FCC's Chinese banquet again this year. We bought raffle tickets and mom's name was the first one called. There were many great prizes and as Ella and I headed for the stage to claim our prize, I was thinking about that 'leap-frog' style "learn Chinese" program we had seen earlier. However, since Ella got to pick the prize, we ended up the Mulan prize pack. Part of this prize was a Mulan purse which Ella immediately strung across her chest. A little later, Ella ran off to play with the other kids. She returned quite quickly with an older child (around 10) in hot pursuit. This little girl wanted the Mulan purse Ella was wearing and she was trying to trade "a loonie and two batteries" for the purse. Needless to say, Ella did not go for the trade.
On Chinese New Year's Eve, we went to Song Li's house for a fabulous dinner. Song Li's mom is visiting from China.

Actual day of her birthday. Baby brother always wants in on the action. He had to go get a hat so he could be like Ella. She had her favourite Blueberry smoothie for breakfast...evidence in her teeth.
That evening we went to a place Ella has been asking to go to for about a year. She saw it advertised on TV and then she would see it from the highway while we were driving....you guessed it...Chuck -e-Cheese's. It was our first time there, but we all had a great time. Paula, Ted and Gemma joined us as did Lisa and Scott and Mom. Everyone had a great time...well the five and under crowd had a fabulous time.

Look who's FIVE!!

Wow! Who can believe that our little Ella-Bella has just turned five. She had a geat day. We opted for no party this year, but she did attend a few other friends' parties and she was happy with that. She just wanted the family party. She loves parties and dressing up. Here are a few pics. Ella got a beautiful new dress from Craig and Leigh. She wanted to put it on right away, so as soon as she took off the dress she was wearing....you guessed it...Mr. Isaac jumped in to claim the other dress as his. Her friend Gemma was here and the three of them had loads of fun dressing up. The beautful Barbie ballerina cake (just what the party girl ordered) was made by our own resident baker...Emily Rigo. What a talent! I should try to link her blog so you can see all her wonderful creations. Thanks again, Emily.
